Richard James Miranda was born on April 16th 1938 in Winona, MN to James and Hazel (Walther) Miranda. He graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1956. On Dec. 5th 1959 he married Sherryl Mae Beynon at McKinley United Methodist Church, Winona. He was a lifelong resident of Winona.
He retired after more than 25 years of service as an off-set pressman for Saint Mary's press and was formerly employed by Hal Leonard, Winona.
Dick had many hobbies, but especially enjoyed golf with his buddies, bowling and archery. He was an "expert" in archery and won many awards.
He is survived by his two sons, Mark (Nadia) Miranda of Trempealeau, WI and Michael (Megan) Miranda of Golden Valley, MN; 8 grandchildren: Mark Jr. (Sarah) Thomas, Lauren (Christopher) Evan, Ellie, Maria, Aidan, Eve and Elle; 1 great grandchild, Rex and special friend, Meredith Clifford.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and dear wife Sherryl of 42 years.
Dick lived his life as a giver to the ones he loved and along with his wife Sherryl were the ultimate parents and grandparents. He will be greatly missed forever.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona with the Rev. Richard Moore, Pastor of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, officiating. A luncheon will follow at St. Martin’s Church.
