Dee (Marilyn Mouchka) Cipov, 77, of Winona, MN died peacefully on July 19, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.
Dee was born on March 26, 1940 to Josephine and James Mouchka and lived in Chetek, Wisconsin. She married George Cipov on July 23, 1966 and they lived the majority of their married lives in Winona, Minnesota.
Dee graduated from Chetek High School in 1958, the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1962 with a B.S. degree in Home Economics Education. She received her M.S. degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1991. Dee taught 2 years for the Denver Public Schools in Denver, Colorado, 4 years in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and the remainder of her teaching career for Winona Public Schools. She retired in 2001. Dee enjoyed life as an active volunteer for the Arts in Winona after retirement.
Dee is survived by her husband George of Winona, daughters Mary Jo (Tony) Kroska of Duluth and Susie (Jim) Howery of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and grandchildren, John William and Katie Kroska and Josephine, Sam, Max, and Luke Howery.
Visitation will be 4-7 pm Friday, July 21, at Saint John Nepomucene, Winona.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at The Basilica of Saint Stanislaus Kostka, Winona, with Rev. Msgr. Thomas J. Hargesheimer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dee's name are suggested to Great River Shakespeare Festival, Minnesota Marine Art Museum and Frozen River Film Festival.
I am no longer eager, bold & strong.
All that is past;
I am ready not to do
At last, at last,
