March 5, 1959 ~ November 17, 2018 (age 59)

John Clarence Ronnenberg, 59, of Winona passed peacefully at his home surrounded by family November 17, 2018.

John, a native Winona, Minnesota graduated Winona Senior High School 1977.  He married Terri (Brown) April 29, 1978 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  John was known as quick witted and funny.  But he was not one to be messed with.  He was not afraid of anyone or anything.
John lived most of his adult life with seizures, but he always kept himself busy.  If he wasn't working on a project, he was fabricating something, or he was riding.  John was a giver, always helping someone on a project.  John was a self-proclaimed 'jack of all trades' who enjoyed restoring old cars/motorcycles, rebuilding engines, building trailers, lawn mowers, motorcycles, or even tuning up small engines.  He was creative and enjoyed making things.  He could weld, sew, reupholster furniture, and wood work. He loved motorcycles and all things motorcycle.  He ventured many corners of this nation on two wheels; Sturgis, South Dakota; Washington; Florida - many of the miles with his wife on the back of his bike and trailer behind them.  His love for motorcycles developed when he was young and saw him into his last year of life.  Even cancer couldn't stop him from riding; he road in the fall Flood Run 2018.
John is survived by his sisters: Cookie Dureske and Candy Sumner and several nieces and nephews.  He leaves behind three children and seven grandchildren: Jessica (Bertron II) Beard with Bertron III, Elise, Mason, and Jadon; Timothy Ronnenberg (and Sam Bauer) with Alyssa, Hayden, and Jaycie; and Jenni Ronnenberg (and Travis Herber). He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Marion, brother Dale, and beloved wife Terri (2016).
