Edward D. Serva, age 78 of Winona, passed away, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Winona Health.
Edward Donald was born December 24, 1939 in Winona to Edward and Roselyn (Ives) Serva. On September 28, 1963, he married Shirley L. Sheldon in Winona and together they raised three children. He was a wonderful husband. He loved his children dearly and his grandkids are his pride and joy. He was a lifelong resident and formerly employed at Super Grow Fertilizer, 12 years and retired from College of Saint Teresa, Winona after 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Shirley; three children: Carol (Ken) Gleiter and their son Zachary, Winona; Ed (Cid) Serva, Winona; and Laurie Peterson and her children, Daryl and Amy, Winona; eight siblings: Donna Bartelson, Bobby Serva, Susie (Gerald) Zeller, Jim (Kathy) Serva, Sandy (Ed) Newman, Dave Meech, Cindy (Frank) Fitch, and Debra Meech; special niece Dawn May, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and beloved pet, Toby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Judith Konkel.
Funeral services for Edward will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Fawcett Junker Funeral Home, Winona with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Winona.
