Bruce S. Prosen, 62 of Winona, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at Winona Health surrounded by people who love him very VERY much. He will be remembered fondly as an avid outdoorsman, expert fly fisherman and goose hunter extraordinaire. He knew Whitewater State Park and the backwaters of Minnesota and Wisconsin like the back of his hand. He was a jokester who loved to make other people laugh and lived to brighten their day. He especially loved laughing with his granddaughters. He was their beloved “Bumpaneeners”. He was an incredible friend and a great brother. He was a loving father and an amazing listener and advice giver. He will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his mother Wilma George Diffie Prosen and father Stanley Peter Prosen.
He is survived by Sandra (Gary) Beck, Lisa (Pat) Erdenberger, Tim (Pat) Prosen; Anne (Keith) Krage, Sharon Prosen, William Garry; son Logan Mitchell Prosen; daughter Kaitlin (Jeff) Jones; granddaughters: Shelby Grace “Shelbineeners” Tronick, Awner Marie “Awneeners” Jones, Savannah Faith “Nannaneeners” Tronick, Sydney Joy “Sydnaneeners” Tronick, Sophia Love “Sophaneeners” Tronick; friends who were more like brothers: Brian “Hully” Holubar, Donnie Snider, Danny Brugger and numerous nieces and nephews. With a special thanks to caregivers and nephews Reid and Shane Prosen, whom Bruce loved like sons. Family is so incredibly important, whether blood related or not, love one another. Always.
He requested there be no service so we kindly suggest you go fishing with someone you love, and make some memories outdoors and smile and think of Bruce.
