Alma Irene (Pruka) MuellerMarch 16, 1921 ~ January 13, 2018 (age 96)
Alma Irene was born on March 16, 1921 in Wiscoy Township of Winona to Delphine Ehlers and Anthony Pruka, Jr of Winona, MN. She attended elementary school in Stockton. Alma married Arthur Ledebuhr on September 19, 1939 at Bethany Moravian Church. Together, they raised five daughters. They farmed near Stockton for 36 years until his death on April 19, 1975. She was a homemaker. Alma enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, sewing and embroidery.
Alma was a member of Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Stockton for many years before and was a member of Ladies Aid. She later married Clarence Mueller, Sr of Rushford on August 1, 1980. He died on November 12, 1991.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; 3 brothers, Friebert, Laverne, Harry Pruka and sister Kathryn Ledebuhr. She is survived by five daughters, Bernice (Ronald) Filbert of Loudon, TN, Arlene (JC) Pfeiffer of Goodview, MN, Lowan (Eugene) Linse of Owatonna, MN, Carol (Thomas) Cassidy of Rochester, MN, Ruth (Roger) Hazelton of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren, Jon (Diane) Pfeiffer of Colorado Springs, CO, Suzanne (Jerry Madlon) Pfeiffer of Green Bay, WI, Allen Pfeiffer of New Richmond, WI, Gener (Jamie) Linse of Owatonna, MN, Jackie Cassidy of Denver, CO, Jason (Dawn) Hazelton of Elkhart, IN, Brandi (Matt) Howay of Boyne City, MI,; great-grandchildren Tara, Valerie, Henry, Hudson, Ethan, Landon; great-great-grandson Travyn; sister-in-law Ruth Lilla of Winona, MN; seven stepsons; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the Mueller side.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church. The Reverend Ben Sadler will be officiating. Casket bearers will be Alma’s grandchildren. Interment will be in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Wilson, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church, Grace Lutheran Church or Winona Area Hospice. The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful care Alma received from the Staff of Lake Winona Manor and Winona Area Hospice.
